This was so us when we registered. We ended up with all sorts of weird things on our registry, which people bought. Like crayons. Thanks for the laugh!

Loved this post. My husband and I have had the throw pillow discussion several times in our past. He tried to sneak a Fry-Daddy on to our registry when we were in the kitchen section. (Not that there’s anything wrong with the Fry Daddy, just not my thing.) Enjoy these last two months of planning!

I think you need to remember that things have changed a ton in the past 30 years. It’s not the same as it was when our parents got married.

Buy a set of towels. If you don’t like them in a year, get new ones. There are so many more price points to work with, you don’t have to look at everything in life as this overwhelming I’m-going-to-have-this-forever-oh-my-god thing.

Focus on quality where it counts to you – good cookware that will last 15 years makes more sense than stressing yourself out over a curtain for a house you don’t own!

Cut yourself some slack, make some decisions, go with them with the knowledge that if it doesn’t work out or you don’t like it, you can return it or get something new.

Snap out of it!

(Wondering why I went off on this subject? Maybe because I had to overcome the exact same mental blocks.)
